Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil, India – Honored at SDG Champion Prize Ceremony 2025

Kathmandu, Nepal – December 28, 2025

The SDG Champion Prize Ceremony 2025, jointly organized by Human Harmony Nepal, Project 100, and the World Conference Council with the support of the Government of Nepal, recognized Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Ramappa Patil of India for his outstanding contributions to SDG Goal 4: Quality Education.

Prof. Patil is a distinguished academician, legal scholar, and public policy advocate, currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, Jharkhand. With over 27 years of experience, he has specialized in consumer law, legal education, and public policy, shaping the future of legal scholarship and institutional excellence in India.

He holds a Ph.D. in Law from Karnataka University and was a first-rank holder in LL.M. (Mercantile Law), with additional qualifications in Cyber Law and Mediation. Prior to his current role, he served as Professor and Chair on Consumer Law at NLSIU, Bengaluru, where he founded the Online Consumer Mediation Centre and established a SCOPUS-indexed international journal, advancing legal innovation and consumer protection.

Prof. Patil has authored six books and over 40 research articles, and has represented India at global platforms including UNCTAD, reinforcing his international reputation as a thought leader in law and governance. His career achievements have been recognized with numerous prestigious honors, including the Indian Achievers Award 2025.

By honoring Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil, the SDG Champion Prize Ceremony 2025 celebrated his lifelong dedication to advancing quality education, consumer rights, and legal innovation, underscoring the vital role of academic leadership in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
