The SDG Champion Prize Ceremony 2025, jointly organized by Human Harmony Nepal, Project 100, and the World Conference Council with the support of the Government of Nepal, recognized Solomon Gachanja Maina of Kenya for his outstanding contributions to SDG Goal 3: Good Health & Well-being.

Mr. Maina is a dynamic Business Continuity Specialist with over 23 years of expertise in disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. A certified ISO 22301 Senior Lead Implementer and Trainer, he has enhanced organizational resilience through collaboration with governments, NGOs, and private sector partners, ensuring that institutions are equipped to withstand crises and safeguard public health.

He has served as Subject Matter Expert for Business Continuity at Qatar’s Primary Health Care Corporation and as Lead Consultant for The Nairobi Hospital’s Joint Commission International Accreditation program, strengthening healthcare systems and emergency response capacity. His leadership in disaster risk management has had a far-reaching impact across Kenya, East Africa, and the Middle East.
Through training and risk assessment, Mr. Maina continues to build capacity and foster a culture of preparedness, empowering organizations and communities to respond effectively to emergencies. His work exemplifies the vision of SDG Goal 3, promoting resilience, well-being, and sustainable healthcare systems.
